About Marin Gourmet
Marin Gourmet’s “farm to table” philosophy began over twenty years ago with founder and matriarch, Affi. It was her passion to create fresh, gourmet healthy foods while capturing the phenomenal flavors of the Mediterranean, from where she immigrated over thirty years ago. Today the Northern California Company is run by Affi’s son. Marin Gourmet remains a Bay Area family business committed to creating all natural, fresh vegetarian products made from fresh ingredients, mostly local produce, grown right here in the Bay Area.
Affi’s most beloved recipe, Aubergine, continues as our best seller. It is created by mesquite grilling Rosa Bianca, American Beauty and a variety of other fresh and natural eggplants, combining them with roasted whole garlic and double pressed olive oil. This delicious recipe has been the foundation and trademark of our company since its inception in the San Francisco Bay Area. After the success of Aubergine and identifying a need for natural protein and fresh nutrients, Affi created the recipe for our Caper Hummus. We sprout our own fresh garbanzo beans, maximizing nutritional benefits form the all natural beans. We add capers and lemon juice to create a tangy and uniquely blended dip. It was Affi's belief that the freshness of our natural products would be the key to Marin Gourmet's success, we continue to agree with her philosophy.
Today Marin Gourmet continues to create an entire line of dips, sauces and crackers using innovative, healthy and all natural recipes from fresh ingredients, mostly grown right here in Northern California.
In addition to managing the growing, production and selling of our fine line of all natural gourmet products, we cater medium to large scale events. Some events we have catered include the 1984 Olympics at USC and the Mill Valley Film Festival. We have been featured on KGO with Gene Burns dining program, NBC’s local focus on farmers/small businesses, the Rachel Ray Show and have participated in the Fancy Food Show.
